- A signed system extension filters traffic at the network layer, not in a tab. Whatever browser you open, it's already there.
- The app is not the lock
- Quitting Sift closes a window. The session lives in the extension and keeps running without it.

- Sessions end on monotonic system uptime. Winding the date forward buys you nothing, and we do notice.
- Nothing leaves your Mac
- No account, no history upload, no server that knows what you block. The list is a file you own.
